Very seldom do I get the true acoustic "take you away" kinda vibe, I am huge fan of acoustic Wednesdays and hardly miss a single one, and last night was pure musical enjoyment. I guess Wade Bowen and West 84 have never done this acoustic full band thing before but you could have fooled me, it was awesome. I may build up a thing or two when telling people stories but I have been telling everyone that if the opportunity arises this is not a show to miss. The 75 of us there were very lucky to be there. The show was very raw, intimate, crowd friendly, and loved every minute of it. Wade played everything from his new tunes (check out his CD it rocks) to some old covers like the Eagles and Ryan Adams. It was awesome, ask Nasty, ask Ragen, Bob, J, Craig, Steph, we were all singing along. We send our thoughts and prayers to Mikey and his family and hope to see him when they come back, but in the mean time I think Shelby sold more merch per person last night, looks like the CD is speaking for itself everyone was buying it. Powell even showed off his singer/songwriter skills and took it to the house (for lack of a better word". I would stop typing and just leave it as the show was great, but there are few people I can talk friendly "crap" to and Wade and the guys happen to be one of them. WE WANT OUR BOWLING BALL BACK YOU CHEATING THIEVING MUSICIANS, the taxi bills are in the mail to your management and you have NO IDEA what the going rate for an upscale taxi service in OKC is these days, and it doesn't matter I just turned the meter off a minute ago anyway. Safe travels guys see you soon. Tonight is house party, tomorrow is Tucker Road, and Sat. is Kevin Fowler, get tied on, it'll be a barstool rodeo night, especially with everything going on downtown. See you tom, stop me and ask me to take your pic and Ill put it on the web and we'll do a shot. Until then...
Oh I almost forgot, if you know the "Big Silk" ask him about his latest experience. Something about court, inmates laughing, him peeing, maybe not that order but ask him just the same the story will make you laugh like crazy, its definitely one of a kind and one that you will use as conversation "I knew a guy once that..."
