After vaguely recovering from The Hangover Ball, the Wormy Dog packed our bags and headed to Steamboat for Musicfest. Now I'm sure everyone has been on roadtrips and ski trips before, but for me this was one of the best trips I have ever been on. We had no idea what to expect being our first year to go to Steamboat. Let me say that Dickson Productions do an amazing job with this. My hat is off to everyone involved. If you havent heard about it go to www.themusicfest.com, but basically Oklahoma and Texas along with like 20 bands (that play from 3 in the afternoon til 1 in the morning) take over Steamboat for a week and show Colorado what good music and good people are all about. It was a blast and the Wormy Dog was representing in full force. As you can see from the pictures we set up the party smack dab in the middle of everything. The snow was "sick dude, especially in the bowls and chutes man". The parties, well, the parties umm, the parties lets see... I dont really remember the parties except that we didnt stop and there were lots of them. Thank you to everyone that invited us (Cody & Shannon, Toby) as well as joined us (Scott "the best cook in the world", Lisa, WD Bob, It was sooo much fun. A couple of shout outs to our neighbors that were from Tyler, Justin and his crew from Corpus Christie, The Kinzie Family (County Commissioners sure can sing), Erin "the hott nanny", E J, Enzo (leave the dog shock collar at home next time), "country singer" Bobby Montgomery, "Dick", Shelly, lil Schwartz nice try hiding the Cuervo, Jessie & Heather, Ft Worth Jenny, our boys from Southern Thread (congrats on the clothing line and its incredible take off - www.sothread.com) Gretchen, Hott biker chick Erin, Mark and Millie, and EVERY Band that we listened to, danced to, drank to, and went skiing with. I especially want to thank Mickey and The Motor Cars for the shout out during the outdoor show and for being so damn cool. The mystery video from '05 will debut on the website very shortly. Once again I cannot stress enough if you like Red Dirt Music get online with Dickson Productions and book a trip for next year, the Wormy Dog will be there and theres no telling how much fun we will have. Personal favorite quotes from the trip "tell him to go take a picture or something - Nathan Coit", "tell him to go peddle some shirts" - Drunk Cameraman, "I can't comfortable" - Guy, "I am a golden god" - Ronnye, "You are a dumbass" - random responder. "I think my ACL is broke he he " - Jaz
A seperate Thank you is also in order for my favorite mom away from home Mrs. Farmer, for letting us stay overnight at your house and cooking us such wonderful food. I think I will try and join your family some day. Thank you again and again.
