For those of you who just jump on here to see whose playing this weekend, and of course read the blog, I'd invite you to take a look at the calendar to see what we have in store for you!!!!
To begin with, everyone take note of the last minute Randy Rogers Band show coming up on January 26th. Spread the word!
Also, we've had several requests for the South Austin Jug Band, and we at the ole' Wormy Dog aim to please! Mark your calendars for Friday, February 24th, as the SAJB will be onstage at the Dog in front of one of my personal favs, Reckless Kelly!
Chuck has been doing a great job of loading the calendar with some of the best Texas and Red Dirt talent currently on the scene, and there is more coming. Now, if any of you caught Kevin Fowler at the Dog last weekend, then you know this music is growing more popular everyday here in OKC (thanks in large part to Ty Austin and our good friends over at 93.3 KKNG). It was a capacity crowd by 11PM, and that left alot of people standing outside in the cold, or simply missing the show altogether. For you insiders who drop by the site to see what's shakin', I'd offer this little tidbit of advice: Buy your tickets online in advance of the show! With some of what we have in store for you, I can guarantee you will need to have advance tickets if you want to be sure you get in.
What else is in store? Well, for one, Jack's back! Yep, come April, Jack Ingram will once again grace the Wormy Dog stage, and we're expecting a very nice reception. Other shows on the horizon include: Mike McClure, Roger Creager, The Great Divide, Stoney LaRue, Cory Morrow, Charlie Robison, Ray Scott, and Shooter Jennings, just to name a few. Oh yeah, and Cooder Graw, another one of my favorites!Anyway, mark your calendars appropriately, and buy your tickets early!
Ok, guess we'll be seeing all of you out tonight for No Justice and John Wolfe! Come on out and buy me a beer (or a shot of tequila from you, Jerry Payne)!
