Neither horrible weather predictions by the local nincompoops on TV nor Kobe Bryant and the Lakers could keep the Wormy Dog from being packed to the gills this past Saturday nite for the Randy Rogers Band. Randy and the boys braved the weather in Missouri the nite before and made it down to OKC with no problems. Vinny's said it before and he'll say it again. RRB is friggin amazing. This is probably the 10th time Vinny's seen these guys and they just keep getting better, and better, and better. Like NYE's, Vinny took his spot down front by the left speaker. Yeah, it sucks when Mother Nature calls, but these guys are worth doing the vertical shuffle thru the throng of people. RRB came out with either This Time Around or Take Me Home. Vinny's kinda hazy on that one. Hey, give him a break. It's dollar longnecks til 10 PM now at the Wormy Dog. By 1100, Vinny's got a good buzz going. Anyways, they played all the faves and new stuff from JAMOT, as well as Like It Used To Be. Props to Randy for sporting the Texas Rangers Kenny Rogers jersey and Brady for the Iron Maiden shirt. No wonder Vinny likes these guys. Grady was there representing the Ragweed family. Thanks for the bucket o' Bud Light and Whiskey Sour for Bon, man. Good seeing alot of familiar folks out and about too and of course a big thank you to the Bar staff. You guys kick ass. So, about after a 1.5 hour set, it was time to turn on the house music and watch the fine ladies do there thing on the floor AND up on the bar. That's right, it's almost like a scene out of Coyote Ugly, only, Vinny's gotta give major props to the talent in OKC. For those of you who complain about the DJ playing some hip hop.... go home. If you can't enjoy watching hot drunk girls shakin' their tail feathers, then hit the bricks. All in all, another great nite at the Wormy Dog. This Saturday it's Stoney and Micky & The Motorcars. Vinny will see ya'll there.
