news posted as events warrant...

This just in: We have just received a grainy photo of what is believed to be an incredibly intoxicated Chuckie T locking lips with the purported "Wormy Dog Groupie"! While several sighting have been reported (including some potentially incriminating video footage of a yet-to-be-named "victim"), this is as close as we've come to actually having postable footage. We are currently working on obtaining that photo, and we will be posting it just as soon as we get our hands on it...... and as soon as we make sure Chuck will take it with a good sense of humor, and not get too mad as we laugh our collective ass off at him for the rest of the week!

With this kind of stuff going on up there this evening, someone might want to be sure Schwartz isn't sneaking around in the women's restroom..... Kaci, would you check on that for us??????
one more thing...

If you Cinch boys really want to have some cool clothes, you need to put some SKULLS on that shit!
Southern Thread, Baby!

Yep, that's the new style to be sporting.... At least according to our good buddies from Cinch Jeans, Kevin and Jeff. Actually, the clothing line isn't quite off of the ground yet, but by the time the big Steamboat ski celebration kicks off, you can bet you're going to be seeing a lot more of it! Ok guys, there's your plug.... thanks for dinner!

Speaking of Cinch, I guess it's time we let the cat out of the bag. Nathan Cross, our manager for the last year plus, has taken a position with Cinch, and will only be stopping by occassionally to spend some of the big dough I'm sure they're going to be paying him. We all wish Nathan well with his new endeavor! While he hasn't even officially started yet, he was already busy helping Kev and Jeff locate models for some survey taking tonight, and they were extremely grateful.... Just wait until they find out that Nathan's "model" friend's rates start out around $150 an hour..... Well guys, at least you have your own hotel rooms... might as well take advantage of the money you've already spent! Oh, and if you haven't caught on to $150 an hour "models", just ask the Drunk Cameraman next time you see him. I hear he hires "models" about every other night!!!

Hang on a sec.... Chuck's calling ...................................................
............................................................. Alright, Chuck's at the bar drunk, and he thinks he's throwing a party! If you don't believe him, just ask... bet he'll do the bellywhip for ya! He didn't last too long on the phone, apparently he's got some sweetthing polishing on his beltbuckle.... I told you guys to lock up your daughters, wives, girlfriends, dogs and goats. I guess someone was willing to risk his daughter, wife, or girlfriend...... At least the poor bastard didn't loose his dog........

Don't forget, Ragweed Family Jam tomorrow night at the Zoo, followed by the official afterparty and the Mike McClure Band CD release party at Toby Ke-- er.... the Wormy Dog! Be sure to get your tickets early, as it's going to be crazy inside when all the stars show up!

Badwater on Saturday and the Hurrican Rita watch party on Sunday.... or Katrina relief, whichever works..... Either way, we should get to see Ragan singing some classic Poison with Texas Jack!

HEY! You don't suppose the little lady Chuck has rubbing on him is the Wormy Dog Groupie do you????

SEE YA AT THE JAM!!!
One day closer....

To Friday that is! What's Friday? Well, Ragweed's Family Jam at the Zoo, followed by the Mike McClure Band's CD release party (and the official location of the Family Jam afterparty... like it would be anywhere else?!?!)

Stopped by the Dog for a bit tonight, and caught some of Bo's show (yes, Stoney's brother). I've personally never heard Bo before, and walked in while he was playing one of his brother's songs.... Actually thought it was Stoney's CD playing! He had also brought Micah Ailes of The Great Divide along with him, and it was a really good match! I hope to see more of both of them on Wednesday night, and more of you too!!!

Stood around at the front visiting with Johnny V. (also had the Chiropractor-in-training fix my back.... good stuff.....) for a bit and noticed we had the 2006 Music Fest magazine up at the front. I've been wanting to go for the last two years, but for one reason or another, it just hasn't worked out. Anyway, I'm HOPING to make it this year, so I took a copy home to start making travel plans. From what I've heard, this is an incredible week, and I REALLY, REALLY want to make this year's celebration.

Anyway, I was reading the little blurbs about whose playing, CCR's new CD, etc..., and get to the back where they have a little "In Memory" section. Along with Kirby Standley, they had a really nice write-up about Chris LeDoux, one of my all-time favorite singer/songwriters. As I'm sure everyone knows, Chris lost a battle with cancer earlier this year, and it happened to be before we had the blog up and going, or I would have posted about it then. Anyway, Chris LeDoux was one of the very first Americana artists I'd ever heard, and while I really loved his music, the first concert I caught in Stillwater blew me away! I think it's still one of the best shows I've ever seen! Got to meet him afterwards, and I'd have to agree with whoever said he was one of the most humble, down-to-earth guys in the world. He had the kind of personality that you just had to respect, and I have to credit him with being one of the earliest influences to get me into the whole Red Dirt/Texas Music scene. His presence will be greatly missed, and I can only wish I would have had one more opportunity to see such an incredible musician and performer. God Bless Chris LeDoux.....

Kind of a spur of the moment thing here, but Nickleback's new single, Photograph, just came on, and that song kicks ass!!! Actually reminds me a little of how the Outfield sounded back in the day (they sing "Use Your Love Tonight"..., starts off "Josie's on his vacation far away", for those of you who were still playing with your Rainbow Brights back in the 80's). One of my favorite current rock bands, hands down.

I guess we're going to be subjected to the effects of Hurricane Rita on Sunday, and hopefully it doesn't wipe out our Katrina benefit, but if so, such is life. Also, got the word today that Bleu Edmondson won't be in attendance. He will be at the Ice House's Katrina benefit instead.... However, as Ragan said, more time for Texas Jack!

Alright, time to wrap it up... Besides, I need to get some rest as I doubt I'll get alot of sleep this weekend! For those of you with iron livers, Renegade Rail at the Dog tonight (Thursday), Friday Family Jam/McClure CD release, Saturday Badwater, and Sunday the Rita watch party/Katrina benefit! Hope Dusty's got the Cuervo stocked up!
Big Cody's saving planet Earth!

Well, not really..... Just wanted to remind everyone about the hurricane benefit on Sunday! There will be music, booze, and alot of cool stuff that's going to be raffled off, all to benefit those who suffered through Katrina.... Hopefully it gets there before Hurrican Rita! It's times like these living in a landlocked state doesn't seem to be such a bad thing....

Once again, if you don't have a ticket for McClure's CD release party, don't call me (or anyone else at the bar) when you can't get in on Friday (and trust me, you WILL be outside begging), because I predict a sellout crowd by 11:30PM. The big bosses are in town for Family Jam (on Friday, at the Zoo), and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't stop by for a drink or two....

Our good buddies, Badwater, will be in the ha-youse on Saturday night, and I'm sure you'll be needing some of the "hair of the Dog" that bit you by then, so don't make no plans....

I really need some of you to do some stupid stuff (nothing mean or painful, just stupid funny) so I have something else to comment on here about.... Making fun of th staff is getting old.... even the Drunk Cameraman is having a hard time making the news....

See everyone starting on Wednesday evening!!!
Benefit

Just a note to remind everyone about the big hurricane benefit on Sunday. Also, don't forget McClure's CD release party on Friday night!!! Don't know who might show up for that thing, but keep in mind who will be in town on Friday night....
Recovery......

Well, nearly recovered from the weekend.... Not sure if it's the age, or the alcohol.....

In other news, it's official. The Wormy Dog has a "groupie"! Apparently, there is a female patron who has made it her mission to hook-up with as many of the male staff as possible. Last weekend, she made quite a dent, and this week she was back for more! Now, I've promised not to disclose any names (unless I'm forced to), but apparently there is some video evidence floating around.... I've seen it. It isn't pretty...... Some of you should be very ashamed of yourselves!

Speaking of being ashamed, what is it with the women's restroom? I think they must be putting Spainish Fly in the air freshener in there.... Maybe Kaci should double-check that the next time she's changing those out???

Here's a big thank you to all of our politician friends who stopped in this weekend! It's kind of nice to see Republicans and Democrats agree on something (that would be that they all enjoy the Wormy Dog for some of you slower thinking people, Drunk Cameraman).

Now that we have the important stuff out of the way, don't forget about the big weekend! We've got Family Jam and McClure's CD release party on the same night! Get out and support our bosses at the Zoo on Friday, then follow their bus down to Bricktown for the Mike McClure "official" CD release party!!! Saturday is local favs Badwater, and Sunday is our little effort to help those in the Gulf Coast with the Wormy Dog Saloon's Hurricane Katrina relief concert, brought to you by Cody "Big Silk" Malone! It's featuring the Bleu Edmondson Band, Macon Greyson, Texas Jack, Johnny Cooper, and Camille Harp (think I caught it all). I believe there will free beer too, and it's all for a great cause! Last I heard, all the proceeds are headed to the First Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. You can call in sick on Monday, after all, you'll be doing it for a good cause!

This weekend turned out really good! Wade put on a great show, but the real show was later on when he helped "Ragweed" film some video for our website. I could go into more detail, but I think it will be much funnier if I just wait until you can see it for yourself! Chris Knight put on a great show as well, and I would suspect you'll be seeing him again too.

Still working on photos for the blog... Hope to have that up and running soon, and don't forget to keep your eyes open for our exclusive interview with "Ragweed"! Brought to you by all of your friends at the Wormy Dog Saloon!
Party Time!

Headed out to the Dog for Chris Knight, and I'm expecting it to be a hell of a show from what I've heard! I've got a lot of updating to the blog, so keep your eyes peeled for the latest news!!!!!!!!
Another wild weekend!

Don't know what it is about the staff, but they sure do seem to like to kiss on the same women.... It generally looks to me like there are plenty of girls for each of them to have their own, but apparently they don't want to water down the ratio for everyone else.... Also, heard there was a little mischeviousness in the ladies restroom on Wednesday night too, but that's all we need to say about that right now...

Johnny Cooper put on a hell of a show on Friday night! I think that kid might be going somewhere, and we appreciate him coming up to see us regularly. His show has really come together, and to think he just turned 17!

Speaking of Friday, the Drunk Cameraman once again graced us with his presence, and fortunately without any pics of the staff in their man-thongs (although the rumor is Matt had his on Saturday night)! He had a friend in with him (about time he started spending some time with the opposite sex), and she was quite a looker too! She seemed a bit too nice to be hanging around the likes of DC, so I'm sure she hasn't heard much about his infamous past... Give her some time though, and I'm sure she'll get to experience some of it firsthand. Just curious DC, have you showed her your airplane impersonation yet?

Congratulations to a couple of our regulars, Mitch and Stephanie, as they took the big plunge on Saturday. Even dropped by for a beer after the ceremony before they left for the Bahamas... Here's to you guys, and we wish you luck!

Oh yeah, DC informed me that he's going to get a link to a picture page where he can display the photos he takes for us at the bar, so keep your eyes peeled... You might see a picture on there you wish you didn't!

One more thing before I sign off, just thought I'd let everyone know that Chuck made it back safely from Mexico, so you might want to lock your girlfriends, wives, and daughters back up!

See everybody this weekend for another swell time!!!
Junior Brown

Ok, I will say right up front that Junior isn't really my taste in music, but that guy is an incredible musician! Filled up the Dog last night, and put on a great show. I'm sure he'll be back in the future.

Tonight is the Wormy Dog house party. I know this confuses alot of people as to what it is, and basically, it's a very informal evening with all types of DJ music, as opposed to a live band. Generally, we give away some free beer, don't charge a cover, and try to turn it into the kind of parties you used to go to in college (or still do!) when everyone showed up at someone else's house, and before you knew it, 500 people were there, and the next morning your friends had to fill you in on the details your hangover was blocking out! Don't know who is still in town, and who might be at the lake, but if you're around, should be worth your while (and it's free!).

Not sure how to approach this next topic, but I have to comment on it. I get an email from the the Drunk Cameraman last week, and it's a pic of an ass framed with a thong! Now, normally I'm not opposed to pics of asses with or without a thong, but this was one of, if not the, ugliest asses I'd ever seen on a female! In fact, it was so unattractive I finally decided there was no way it could be a woman's ass! Come to find out, it wasn't!!! The worst part isn't that I stared at a man's ass for 10 minutes, but to find out that one of our bartenders was wearing it! Not only was he wearing it, but he has decided to wear one on a regular basis!!! There is just something wrong about that..... Hell, the entire male staff now want custom WDS man-thongs! Guess I'm going to have to show up tonight and try to drink it off of my mind!
