Bowling, Drinking, and lots of BS
Well I think I've finally recovered from my recent travels enough to sit down and post. As I mentioned before the Wormy Dog was invited to compete in CCR's charity bowling tournament, which was a change from last year's kickball tournament (which we placed second to Wade Bowen's crew and The Lost Trailers). We did however manage to be the drunkest team last year and the biggest sh*t talkers, so the pressure was on us again to repeat and uphold our team traditions. I can say that we rose to the occasion and did not disappoint. We talked sh*t, we drank the bowling alley dry, and we did our best to compete for the trophy. Unfortunately with all of the distractions (Wade Bowen stealing our bowling balls, Saengerhalle stealing our mascots, The Braun brothers buying us beers, and Riverroad Ice House girls stealing all of our attention) we did not finish our last game in the allotted time and were disqualified. We took the loss in stride with the satisfaction that Wade Bowen and West 84 were nowhere near competing with us (although they did win the team uniform contest). Cross Canadian Ragweed (with another Ragsdale as a secret ringer) won the event, no comment except we can't wait for next year. On a side note when bowling with Wade do NOT sing "Please come to Boston" in his ear, do not chant "No Lost Trailers! No Trophies", and do not trust a man in a Santa suit he's probally a pervert. Thanks again to everyone involved for such a good time. We only talk trash because we have lots of love for everyone. If you haven't been to New Braunfels I highly suggest going for a show or two you can always help George try and find his keys or get a ride back to Saengerhalle. I haven't quite mastered this blogging thing yet so I will post a few other pictures next. Besides I am a Drunk Cameraman I have some pictures you can see and some you can't. Cheers.
The Drunk Cameraman...
Hello Wormy Dog Blog, It is exciting to have an all access pass. Its taking me three years to get one so the original blogger can kiss my a$$. With that said and out of my system I will not defend any of the previous blogs that may have mentioned actions taken while being the "Drunk (or sober) Cameraman" but I will say that there is always a little truth behind everything, but the imagination can run wild... Speaking of imagination, Roger Clyne is in my mind one of the most remarkable songwriters I have ever listened to. If you have not seen a Peacemakers show live, you are depriving yourself from one of the best live shows you've ever seen. I'm sure others will mention last night's show as well, but i can only say that there is something intoxicating when a singer can back away from the microphone and the crowd can take over and scream every word without missing a beat. Wormy Dog crowds are straight up the best there is. Those of us that are going to compete in CCR's bowling tournament tom will do our best to represent The Wormy Dog on the lanes, and more importantly at the drinking games. Should make for interesting stories. Good luck to those with finals, cheers to those that dont take them anymore, and remember that during the holidays in the past there have been sightings of adult movie stars, Kid Rock, and of course, all of the bands that came from OK stopping in to have a beer and take a break. So belly up and maybe I'll take your picture.
Old places, new faces....
This weekend should be the start of a couple of our new bloggers. Be sure to check in to see what kind of lunacy they are spreading... We should be adding VTS' very own tab very soon so he can give his take on the shows he happens to catch at the Dog (or anywhere else he happens to catch a show). I know there are two or three of you out there who don't care for what Vinny has to say, and you're welcome to post your opinion on the guestbook (remember to keep it "family friendly"), but I have to give the Shark credit.... He says what he thinks, and you have to respect that... Tonight is a little WD house party. It's kind of a lame title, but contrary to the opinions of some, it is generally a pretty good time. We know everyone likes live music, and we're no exception, but it is nice to catch a break in the wallet once in awhile, especially in a month like December when we're all broke! For all of you hardcore, live music fans, if you're not out for tomorrow's show (Roger Clyne), you aren't much of a fan... Roger Clyne is a badass! I would really appreciate it if someone would show up tonight and make a drunken fool of themselves... It generally makes for much better reading on the blog... See you at the Dog!!!
