Wow. What a show put on by the RRB last nite. Vinny is now nursing a hangover, but it was well worth it. Good to see a great turnout (biggest RRB crowd at the Wormy). The guys were on the money and they definitely looked happy to be playing at the Wormy last nite. Chops even got on the mic during the opening song "Ten Miles Deep". That was pretty cool. Great crowd response during "Hill Country" too. They played all their great songs as well as some of the new ones that will be out on disc very soon. Vinny can't remember the names of the new ones, but they are definitely good tunes. Vinny's anxious to hear the RRB follow up to Rollercoaster, which is definitely one of the greatest Texas/Red Dirt albums to ever be produced.
Nice to see the familiar folks all come out: Daina, Trina, Brooke, Ragan, Nancy, Brian and Jerri, Butch and Jack Blue II, the guys from Plainview, and Grady Cross, as well as some new folks: Trimspa Jacket Guy, Napoleon Dynamite Cowboy, Spitcup Dude and Bertha. Vinny's gonna have to have a talk with the Security guy in the Dale Jr. hat though. Dale Jr?? Come on!! All in all, it was a great time,. Cold beer, double Apple Puckers for Mrs. Shark, great music and of course all the Oklahoma eye candy (that's a given at the Wormy Dog). Vinny hopes to see RRB at least a few more times this year. It doesn't get much better than them.
