Hank III at the Diamond Ballroom

Yes, Vinny knows this show wasn't at the Wormy Dog, but he just had to write a review on this one somewhere. WOW!!!!!! You talk about a kick ass concert!!! Hank III and Assjack are the shit!!! Unfrigginreal!!!! This was the best concert Vinny has been to in a long, long time. Talk about musicianship!!! These guys brought IT and brought IT hard!! The first half of the show was his country psychobilly stuff which was jaw dropping in it's own right and the second half was pure METAL!!!! It was like a mixture of Reverend Horton Heat (only better) and Pantera in one nite. Never before has Vinny witnessed a transformation at a concert like this. Probably a bit too much for the regular Wormy Dog customer to handle though. Have a nice Ragweed Day.
Spring Jam 2/Micky & The Motorcars

So, Vinny finally decided the day before to go to the Spring Jam 2 show out at the Zoo. 36 bones to see Kevin Fowler basically. Vinny's not complaining. There was plenty of eye candy walking around to keep Vinny from falling asleep during Pat Green and Gary Allan. Sorry, but these guys bring nothing but ballads and a soft show all around. Hell, Pat had to ask people to stand up for his hit song "Wave on Wave". Good radio tunes, but they just don't cut the mustard in concert. Now, Vinny knows alot of folks consider Kevin Fowler songs kinda goofy or what not, but the guy keeps the crowd in to his show. Give Vinny goofy or hokey anyday over insomnia relief any day. Plus, if you've ever seen Fowler at the Wormy Dog, you know the party is ON!! So, after about all Vinny could take of Gary Allan, the Sharks and friends decided to high tail it on out of there to catch Micky & The Motorcars at the Dog. And Vinny is sure glad he did. Some of ya'll really like Reckless Kelly, but Vinny prefers the Motorcars. Dunno why, but every time Vinny's seen these guys, they just put on a helluva show. Plus, Mrs. Shark thinks Micky is a hottie, so it makes for a good time for everyone. Needless to say, it was a great time and a good way to close out the nite. Thanks again to Vinny's favorite bartender, Stephanie, for serving up some Ice Cold Bud Lights and Jager bombs. Bring back M&M more often. Vinny will definitely be there. Have a nice Ragweed Day.
