Stoney Larue

After a scrumptious meal and two tall boys of Bud Light at the Outback, Vinny and Butch decided to head on down to the Wormy Dog to see Stoney Larue, and what a good choice that was because Stoney put on one helluva party. Playing everything from Down in Flames, to One Chord Song, Idabel Blues and even broke in to some Crazy Train, it was more than Vinny expected. Stoney has definitely established himself as Sharkworthy. He deserves one at Family Jam this Saturday. Another good crowd on hand too. And let Vinny suggest this to you newcomers.... hang out at the end of the big bar downstairs if you can't find a table. Man, there was some serious talent at the Wormy Dog that nite. Very, very impressive turnout!!! Thanks again to the WD staff/bartenders for another great time. Vinny appreciates it. Everybody needs to get out to the WD this Friday for the Mike Mancy Band for a Family Jam 3 pre party. Vinny knows of people who are coming in from Chicago, Kentucky, Georgia, and of course Texas, so make sure Oklahoma shows these guests a good time Friday nite.
Randy Rogers Band (Sept. 15th)

Wow, this was one of THE best shows Vinny's seen at the Wormy Dog. Yeah, you may have heard Vinny say this before, but when it comes to these guys...... they just keep getting better and better, as do the crowds that are now coming out to the Wormy to see them. OKC has finally caught on to one of the best groups in the business. Vinny and Mrs. Shark got there around 10:30 and of course the bottom floor was already packed. Thankfully, Vinny's good friends, Butch, Brian and Jerri had gotten there earlier and saved a couple stools by a table next to Toby over by the merch. table. RRB hit the stage a couple minutes after 11 and it was on til the last song about 2 hours later. This was their CD release party for Just A Matter Of Time, so of course they played alot off the new album, but they also threw in all the favorites from the previous two outputs. Toby threw out about 250 promotional stickers on the dance floor which caused Randy to say "It's Raining Stickers". Anyways, the guys looked as happy as Vinny has ever seen them. The hard work they've put in is finally paying off and it's good to see them get their dues. Great band, great crowd, cold beer, hot chicks, Jager bombs, Kamikazes, good friends, some who drove up from Texas, all made for one great evening at the Wormy Dog....
